Give Thanks, Find Joy. ☺︎

This week I have felt really weak. I’ve been getting hit by all of these false thoughts & feelings that are causing me to doubt myself, my future, my capabilities- ultimately leading me to feel down & out, to feel trapped. I have allowed my fears & lies lead to me to a paralyzed state where I don’t know what next steps to take in moving forward ⇢. After stepping outside of my own thoughts & surrendering my situation, I gained revelation. This experience has convicted me of what I know deep down not to fall into, which is ➡︎ not allowing my circumstances to dictate my life & my spirit. Life is full of ups & downs & if you are not firmly grounded you will surely be shaken down & all around! It’s ok not to be ok sometimes, BUT it’s important to keep your faith values on point so when the storm comes you are ready for battle ⚑! As I sit here in the cafe typing away, I reassure myself of the truth:

My circumstances may change, but my God *remains the same*;

Unwavering faith.

I was challenged by someone close to me when they asked me to stop focusing on the negative (-) & the void in my life, but to highlight the positive (+) of what I do have. In the moment I denied that there was much to be thankful for but deep down I knew I had to cut away at these vines of negativity that were growing over me and weighing me down. I prayed, slept on it & made a conscious decision that even though I didn’t feel like it, I was going to approach this day with a changed perspective & a positive foot forward ➪. I chose to carve out time, sit down, and meditate on the things in my life that I can be THANKFUL for. After all: “A miserable heart means a miserable life; a cheerful heart fills the day with song.” (Proverbs 15:15). YES to the latter please!

With a cheerful heart ♡, I am…

THANKFUL FOR the air in my lungs; to live out each new day !

“So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There’s far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can’t see now will last forever.” (2 Corinthians 4:16-18)
